Foundation Repair in Southfield, MI

Southfield is an Oakland County city just north of Detroit, known for its skyline of office towers and the Lodge and Southfield freeways that cut through it. But behind the commercial corridors are older residential neighborhoods of postwar ranches and colonials, many built in the 1950s and 1960s with full concrete-block basements that are now well over half a century old.

The Rouge River runs through Southfield, and the city sits on the same flat, heavy clay that covers the region — soil that holds water against basement walls and swells and shrinks with the seasons. Southfield's older neighborhoods are tightly built, so when a foundation wall starts to bow or a drain tile fails, the problem tends to show up as water seeping at the floor-wall joint or stair-step cracks in a block wall. These are exactly the homes we work in most.

If your Southfield basement is wet, your walls are cracking, or your floors feel off, call us. We know these postwar homes and we'll give you a straight answer about what's happening.
